Wadi el-Nil for Quarry Workers is an Egyptian not-for-profit non-governmental organization established by technical and financial support from Better Life for Integrated Development under the Ministry of Social Solidarity, registration no. 2/2000 in Menia governorate. The main objective behind establishing the Association is the protection of quarry workers and providing them with the support and services required for their economic, legal, and social existence, as well as improve their health conditions. This group accounts for more than 20,000 adult workers, and more than 3,000 working children, both of whom are working under very hard environmental and health conditions and are subjected on daily basis to occupational accidents.
